This event alone made the expo annual visit the best ever for Hansel!!!  They really made his day!!!  He had photographed Lamborghini's in Newport and Laguna Beach but never sat inside one! He told me, "I'll save up my money and buy myself one of these, Dad... just wait!"

November 5, 2006-Roldy spoke at our first seminar about the toxicity of divorce in the life of young kids! It was a powerful presentation!

November 5, 2006-First seminar at the Holiday Inn, in Costa Mesa, CA. Roldy told us a dark story of our culture through the statistics he shared with us.

November 5, 2006-We discovered our purpose as a family in the midst of pain and we decided to share it with the world.

Heidi ready to leave the house for the "2006 Annual Winter Formal" escorted by her date Noble Gibbins -The story behind this event will be remembered by each member of our family!!!--Heidi made the beautiful dress (the glamorous overgown with a train... both fully lined) she is wearing! It took her 120 hours to make it... in a period of four weeks... it "delapidated" two sewing machines... LOL!... and took a five hour marathon with Johanna helping to finish the dress... just five minutes before the gentleman rang the door bell!!! Talking about "commitment"? Talking about last minute drama?  You've got it... but it got done and Heidi was happy!!! Here is the fascinating background of the dress! Heidi studied European history and was particularly attracted to the events surrounding the life of Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), who would later become Napoleon I, Empereur des Francais (Emperor of the French).  He has often been called the most brilliant military and political figure in history! Napoleon first met Josephe Rose de Beauharnais (Josephine) and felt deep attraction and love for her (He called her "incomparable Josephine") Many of their love letters have been found... One of the them was written by Napoleon wondering why Josephine had not written to him...

"Indeed, I am very uneasy, my love, at recieving
no news of you; write me quickly for pages,
pages full of agreeable things which shall
fill my heart with the pleasantest feelings

I hope before long to crush you in my arms
and cover you with a million kisses as though
beneath the equator".

Imagine a guy writing a letter like that to an American young lady of today's culture! We would probably call him  over-bearing and too much! LOL! Unfortunatedly Josephine who was not able to bear him a child for the Royal family.  Napoleon was pressured to marry someone else, according to Heidi... ,(Josephine's history has been written from many angles) in order to assure the throne would stay within the "family".  Napoleon, then married Marie-Louise with whom he had his only legitimate child, Napoleon II. Heidi was touched by the fact that Napoleon never stopped loving Josephine!  Josephine was Napoleon's true love!  Heidi found a picture of one the dresses Josephine  wore during a Royal event and went on to create a pattern after the photograph she found in the internet. Heidi was touched by the story and the "unfortunate" situation Josephine found herself in... Heidi, Heidi, Heidi!!!--01-26-2006

GENERATION UTZ # 1 & 2--Harold's uncle Samuel Utz's 80th Birthday!--His wife Ida (deceased) was Harold's mom sister--Celebrating uncle's 80th are his three boys... Norberto and Susana Leiss from Glendale, California.  Susana lived with Harold's parents in Argentine for many years before moving to the United States.  Harold considers her a "sister" since they are such good friends and she experienced much of Harold's family life during their younger years.  Susana has always been a positive presence in his life.  Her positive energy, her enthusiasm for life, her love and affection as well as her diligent disposition to whatever the moment calls for, have always been qualities Harold admired in Susana. Norberto, her husband is a fun guy! They have two lovely girls, Annie and Cristina.  They are both attending a boarding High School in Misiones, Argentine-02-17-2006

Heidi and I getting ready to attend the "Spring Victorian Ball Dance" in the City of Pasadena--It was so much fun!!!!--It felt like we were some place in Vienna remebering old times!  Heidi doesn't seem to amaze me...She actually attended the Ball dancing classes and of course directed me on how to do it... We really had a ball!--03-11-2006

The hall was a scene to behold... Alld kind of Victorian outfits... Great spirit of comraderie and a real fun time--Over three hundred Victorian dance devotees danced the night away!--Really, who else but Heidi would join the organization and take me as her date!--I felt honored... We laughed so hard all night long... Towards the end of the evening the steps and the dances were getting increasingly complex.  So, I would hear, in the midst of difficult steps, some of our new friends yelling "Come on, Argentine... at least do a tango step..."  Heidi rolled over laughing so hard--Unforgettable night!!--One guy approached me afterwards and said to me... "Uh... so you are from the Patagonia?"... I looked at him surprised... like... why the Patagonia... "No, i said... i am from Buenos Aires..." to which he responded... "Oh, ok... I just wanted to impress you by letting you know that Argentine was not El Salvador..." You should have seen Heidi laughing... The people were just unbelievably friendly and for a crowd that knew how to dance well they treated us like we were one of them!--Almost better than my old "church" times...-- 03-11-2006

"My house" where I resided with my family from 1961-1964, Cordoba, Argentine, South America--Eduardo Gasparri, friend of our family just sent me this picture from his recent trip to Cordoba... This photo  brought so many memories!!! Here is a brief background... My dad was the Pastor of this church for four years and we lived in the house above the sanctuary (Parsonage)... It had four bedrooms and the entrance was on the left side of the building... Vivid memories of this house!  Of course it wasn't too hard to go to church... (lol!) It was downstairs... The house on the right was the only house in the neighborhood that I knew had a black and white TV set... One day, i had just came back from school and I heard on the radio that President John F. Kennedy had been assasinated (1963).  I asked the neighbor if I could watch the funeral services to take place in Washington DC. and he graciously allowed me to.  I had never watched such a ceremony ever before!  I was around 12... The image of the little boy (John F. Kennedy,Jr.) by his mom's side... saluting, military style, during the procession made a lasting impact on my mind!  I have never forgotten that moment!  It all came alive again during President Ronald W. Reagan's memorial services in 1989 --02-10-2006
