After almost 27 years of intense family life and marriage, Johanna chose to leave me on September 9, 2006 and then filed for divorce a week later. The divorce was final on May 2007 by her choice. She chose a different path of life for herself and we pray that she may find happiness and fulfillment in her new endeavors. The pain was unbearable, but I and the four kids stayed together through the darkest experience of our life as a family. God has been magnificent to us!

Christmas... We love the "Family Annual Open House!" Our chance to see friends and relatives. We also enjoy the Annual Christmas mailing...

Was born in San Juan, Argentine.
He moved 5 times during his childhood to different cities in Argentine because his Dad was a Pastor-Evangelist and was transfered to five different parishes during his first fifteen years of life before he moved to a boarding school.
He resided in Entre Rios, Argentine, at the "River Plate University" (Universidad Adventista del Plata) for six years.
He moved to San Francisco, US, in 1972.
He moved to Southern California 1976.
He became an American Citizen in 1980.
He has lived in Southern California for the the last 29 years.

After living for a year in France, (she speaks and writes French) traveling throughout Europe,and a year in Argentine (she speaks and writes Spanish), Halcyon is looking forward to a carrier of service. It may include the three languages she speaks as well as her experience in fitness, figure modeling and healthful living supplementation.

He co-founded "The Life Zone" with Harold under the umbrella of the corporation "The Family Zone, Inc." Roldy has been very busy producing material with Harold for the audio presentations and the book that will come up by february or march of 2008.
His serious health problem from the past (Cronh's disease) and his incredible recovery has catapulted Roldy into a commitment to a medical career that will help people to acquire "healthy ife styles" rather than to deal with the consequences of unhealthy choices.
HEIDI (JOY) Meaning of her name: German origin, "Exalted natured"--"Noble One"
Born at the Adventist Medical Center in Glendale , CA.
Date of birth: August 4, 1988
Heidi's "walk" into this world was most interesting... First was the surprise of Johanna being pregnant with a "baby"... "I don't care who says, what," Harold says... "It's always a surprise, a moment of awe and wonder when you find out your girl is pregnant with your baby... Always!!!" Halcy and Roldy were in school, and Johanna was finishing her Master's Degree in Psychology besides her regular management position at the White Memorial Medical Center... Very stressful time! Ultrasound images performed by the ObGyn Doctor showed a "boy" in the making all along... So the debate was not on the color of the clothes, blankets or the diaper bag! It was all about the name... Johanna wanted a "Hansel" and Harold was stuck on "Hershel"... Yahhh, yahhhh.... Every time the family talks about it, Harold laughs... At some point the Doctor called Harold and Johanna into a special office to show them the embrio developing inside Johanna's uterus... He pointed on the screen where the male organs were developing in the little fetus... LOL!!! So we were ready for the boy... Roldy was happy... Halcy wanted a sister... "His" clothes were blue... everything was blue... Up to the last minute the heartbeat... all the signals supposedly pointed to a boy... "He" was "late"... Really late! We were tired of going on long walks to assist the timing... This "little guy" held us in suspense for days until the Doctor finally said... "OK... We'll have to induce the birth"... "He" was so comfortable in "his" cozy place that there was no way "he" was going to appear on the scene naturally... While the delivery was happening... we heard the Doctor saying... "Ooooppsss... I think we made a mistake... It's a girl!!!" Johanna delivered a gorgeous baby girl... Well, gorgeous to us... She had a "cucumber" head like all babies do, you know?... Our family friend, Carolyn Volkoff, along with Harold were in the delivery room to witness the miracle of the "girl" ... Her name was Heidi! Johanna and Harold both wanted a Heidi and we got her as a very special gift!!!

Heidi wants to become a pediatrician and serve in needy areas of the world. Heidi is "Miss love, tenacity, help and creativity" all in one person... And she doesn't "date" anyone... She has "tons" of boyfriends and girlfriends... Heidi believes in "courtship"... Amazing girl!!!

HANSEL (JOVANNI)
Meaning of his name: "God is gracious"
Born at the White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, California-Johanna was involved in management at the Medical Center, as a Director of Volunteer Services... so... "White Memorial" was the place... Hansel of course, is the youngest in our family... and he likes his place in the birth order! He has been heard saying in the past, "I am the last one, and that's it!... I like being the little guy."
Date of birth: November 14, 1993
The four of us were in the delivery room with Johanna when Hansel was born... Kirsten, Johanna's cousin, was there also... Roldy was the first one to hold him!!! It was an incredibly bonding experience for all of us. And for the "kids" an early window into the fantastic wonders of sexuality and life... love and responsibility... childhood and parenting! They actually witnessed "life" happening...
Hansel almost lost his life when he was six... We were in shock as a family thinking that we may actually loose the litle guy... Harold held him in his arms all night when we thought he was leaving us... He made it through that night!... and one more day!... and one more day!... One full month at Children's Hospital of Orange County in the intensive care unit!... At the end of the month, the doctor was ready to send Hansel home... but then Hansel said, "No, I don't want to go home... I want to stay here with my mommy..." He didn't want to leave!!! The doctor said he needed a psychologist... and instead, we got him interested in getting a dog we named "CHOC" after the hospital name... The dog grew up to be a huge, beautiful dog... Bigger than him... and they didn't get along too well... Heidi took care of CHOC for a while but it became increasingly clear that she didn't have the time to provide proper care. So, CHOC is gone, and in a home where the family is taking good care of him... At the time and during Hansel's recovery it was therapeutic for him to hold a little puppy.... We are grateful Hansel is growing well and is such a loving guy!

Junior National Championships- June 16-17, 2006-Chicago, Illinois-This is an IFBB Pro Qualification Compeition where Halcy is aiming at getting the top spot (Called the Pro-Card)
Halcy has been ivited to attend the "2006 Arnold Classic" March 3-5, 2006 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The invitation, with all expenses paid, comes from "Instone" (Sylvester Stallone). She will be one of the girls representing the products at the Arnold Health and Fitness Expo during the weekend.

The FitExpo Pro Show and Expo-Featuring the IronMan ProXVII and the NPC Women Figure Finals will take place on Saturday, February 18 at 7:00 PM at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and is part of the Iron Man Pro Finals--HALCY IS ONE OF 35 NATIONAL FIGURE COMPETING FOR THE TITLE!--A separate ticket is required for this event and is available at the ticket window or by calling Harold and Johanna-Join us if you have a chance--HALCY will be on stage Saturday night @ 7:00 PM
LAST MINUTE!!!!!!!!!--Woowww! 02-18-2006... It's 5 minutes before midnight... We are back home. Unbelievable! Halcy won her figure category and took the top place at the overall competition tonight. She looked magnificent! We were so excited for her. She told me between tears of joy at the end that she gave all the glory to God for this accomplishment! I was so happy to hear those words! We will have pictures of the competition shortly.
